The
Liljefors Lantern
TM

When I grew up we allways had a lantern hanging in the window from the first Sunday of Advent. A family tradition since my grandmother. The red light of the silhouette lantern brings beauty and a warm atmosphere to the room.

Unsurpassed craftmanship. The motif windows are cut with slanted edges. Made of heavy cardboard lined with red silk. I sign each lantern and my trademark is impressed  at the bottom.

Through the years the motifs have changed. The original Christmas lantern had two biblical motifs and two Swedish Christmas motifs. If you order the lantern in advance, you can combine the motifs to your liking. Here are more motifs to choose from:

Special

By request I can make a lantern with your own motifs on the assumption that the motifs are suitable as silhouettes. Suggestions are appreciated!

If it is hard to find four good motifs, you can combine a local motif with any of my other motifs. Here are the special motifs that I've done so far.

Carl's Lantern
Mini Lantern

The original lantern by Carl Liljefors doesn't loook very much, worn as it is. But when I made a copy it proved to be very decorative! Here is a mini lantern made with the same technique as the original lantern. The hight is 19 cm (7 1/2") and the width is 10,5 cm (4 1/8").

NOTE!  I do not vary the motifs on these two lanterns.
